Kuwait launches campaign to raise donations for Palestinians

KUWAIT CITY,  (Xinhua) — Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) will launch a five-day campaign to raise donations for the Palestinian people, the Kuwait News Agency reported Tuesday.

Themed “Relieve Gaza,” the campaign is the latest in a series of the country’s relief and humanitarian efforts to brotherly nations stricken with crises and hardships, according to KRCS Chairman Hilal Al-Sayer.

This campaign particularly aims to provide medical supplies for Palestinian victims of the Israeli attacks to enhance their capabilities to cope with the current circumstances, he said.

The Israeli army has killed 61 Palestinians and wounded 1,771 others since Monday, when the U.S. relocated embassy to the disputed holy city of Jerusalem, fuelling more violent protests among the Palestinians.
