[India], Mar. 23 (ANI): Slamming the Congress Party for walking out from the Rajya Sabha, Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) don’t make or break fortunes, but voters do and opposition should trust the judiciary.”EVMs don’t make or break fortune but voters do- This is what we walk on and that’s why the people are with us,” Prasad told ANI.Further on replying to a debate in the Rajya Sabha over electoral reforms Prasad stated that when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost elections in Bihar and Delhi, the EVMs were fine then why not now.”When we (BJP) lost elections in Bihar, and Delhi, the EVMs were fine. But now that we have won in Uttar Pradesh, the EVMs are faulty. What kind of standard is this? If we were powerful enough to effect changes in EVMs, we could have done this in Bihar, and certainly in Delhi, to win assembly elections,” said Prasad. (ANI)
