BRS leader Manda Jagannadham likely to join Congress soon

Hyderabad, March 23 (NSS): As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching near, the Congress party is trying to attract more number of leaders from opposition parties to regain its lost political ground in Telangana.

As part of its endeavour, Congress MP candidate for Nagar Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency Mallu Ravi called on former MP and BRS leader Dr. Manda Jagannadham at his residence here on Saturday and invited him to join the Congress party.

 Mallu Ravi also requested Jagannadham to support him in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Ever since the MP ticket was confirmed, Mallu Ravi has been meeting with key leaders of his parliamentary constituency and seeking the support for the election.

According to party sources,  BRS leader Manda Jagannadham has responded positively and said that he will take a decision after meeting with his followers, key leaders and party activists on the joining of Congress party.

 Many BRS MPs- Venkatesh Neta ( Peddapally), Bibi Patil ( Zaheerabad), Ranjith Reddy ( Chevella) and  Pasunuri Dayakar ( Warangal) have already submitted their resignations to party  president K Chandrashekar Rao and joined the Congress party. In the same way, some MLAs, former MLAs and former MPs seem to be ready to leave the party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
