
Harare, Zimbabwe, May 22 (NSS): The World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC) Network, a global organization dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration across industries, is pleased to announce the successful visit of its delegation to Zimbabwe as part of its African Business Expansion Tour. The WTITC team had a productive meeting with Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to India Dr. Godfrey Majoni Chipare, and officials from the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (ZIDA), led by Chief Investment Promotion Officer Silibaziso Chizwina.
The WTITC delegation included Chairman Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Tconsult leadership Challanagari Narendra, Thirunahari Vamshikrishna, and Kondal Reddy. The discussions centered around various business exchange programs between Zimbabwe and India, with a particular focus on the Telugu states. The ZIDA team expressed keen interest in AgriTech, specifically in the application of drones and Artificial Intelligence in agriculture. They highlighted the need for advanced health tech and healthcare solutions from India, particularly in the areas of robotic surgeries, disease identification through technology, and comprehensive healthcare solutions.
Pharmaceuticals were also a significant focus of the discussions. Zimbabwe is keen to import high-quality pharmaceutical products from Hyderabad but faces challenges in ensuring the authenticity and quality of these products. WTITC Network can assist in addressing these challenges, ensuring that Zimbabwe receives genuine and high-standard pharmaceuticals, thereby enhancing the healthcare sector.
ZIDA officials also requested assistance from WTITC Network in the fintech sector, expressing interest in human resources management tools to enhance employee productivity. They acknowledged the potential for significant growth and improvement in these areas through collaboration with WTITC Network’s vast expertise and resources.
Additionally, the discussions revealed a strong interest in telemedicine, medical transplants, and water treatment technologies. ZIDA is also looking forward to enhancing their eGovernance capabilities and seeking innovative solutions in edutech.
Reflecting on the visit, Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Chairman of WTITC Network, stated, “Our collaboration with Zimbabwe represents a significant step towards fostering innovation and technological advancement in both regions. We are excited about the possibilities this partnership holds, particularly in transforming key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and education through the exchange of technology and expertise.”
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to ink a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ZIDA and WTITC Network. The MoU will focus on facilitating business expansion, technology exchange, and innovation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, education, and other sectors. Both parties are committed to promoting investment opportunities and fostering a robust economic partnership between Zimbabwe and the Telugu states. (NSS)
