Telugu student from Andhra Pradesh Killed in US supermarket shooting

Hyderabad, June 23 (INN): A 32-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh died of injuries that he suffered in a shooting at a supermarket in Arkansas in the United States of America (USA).

The victim, Dasari Gopikrishna (32), was shot two days ago. He was admitted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Gopikrishna, a native of Yajali in Karlapalem mandal, had moved to the United States eight months ago, seeking better livelihood opportunities. He was working at the supermarket when the tragic event took place. According to reports, he was at the counter on Saturday afternoon when an assailant entered the store and opened fire.

The shooting was captured on CCTV cameras, showing the assailant entering the store and shooting Gopikrishna before fleeing the scene. Gopikrishna was critically injured and collapsed at the scene. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he could not be saved.

The news of his death has plunged his family and the community of Yajali into deep sorrow. Gopikrishna leaves behind a wife and a son. Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the suspect. (INN)
