Hyderabad, June 26 (NSS): On Tuesday M. Ravi (A1), SI , Veldanda Police Station, Kalwakurhty Sub-Division, Nagarkurnool District, demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 and accepted it through G. Vikram, (A2) 102 Ambulance Driver, Government Hospital Kalwakurthy from the complainant Deranagula Venkatesh of Tilaknagar Colony, Kalwakurthy, Nagarkurnool District to do an official favour i.e. “not to register a case against the complainant as the SI seized explosive material from the house of the complainant.
The tainted amount was recovered from the possession of the A-2. Right hand fingers of A-2, which came into contact with tainted bribe amount yielded positive result in chemical test. The A1 performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
Therefore, both the accused were arrested and produced before the First Addl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court, Nampally, the ACB authorities said and appealed to the people to call phone number 1064 (toll free number) in case of demand of bribe by any Public servant for taking action as per law.
