Hyderabad, July 5 (NSS): Former minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao has condemned the arrest of unemployed and student union leaders who laid siege to TGPSC as part of their protest.
The BRS leader accused the Congress government of failing to deliver its job promises and said that it’s was very atrocious to arrest the unemployed and student leaders for staging a protest to remind the promises of the government.
“It is a despicable act that students, unemployed and leaders of student organisations who are going to hold a peaceful protest at TGPSC were arrested and detained everywhere. Doesn’t the unemployed even have the right to protest peacefully under public administration,” he asked.
Harish Rao questioned whether they had the opportunity to express their grievances through representation.
“On the one hand, the Congress government is suppressing the voices and rights of the unemployed by propagating people’s rule. This is not people’s rule, it is an undemocratic rule,” he alleged .
The BRS MLA criticised the Congress government for dragging students who were supposed to read with books for jobs to the streets and staging dharnas and agitations.
He made it clear that the BRS party would not give up until the issues were resolved and their demands were met. Harish Rao also stated that he will fight on behalf of students and the unemployed until they get justice. (NSS)
