Hyderabad, July 5 (NSS): International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Kukatpally branch will organize Sri Jagannatha Rath Yatra-2024 on July 7. It was revealed by the representative of the organisation G. Mahashring Dasa revealed. He said that Sri Jagannatha Rath Yatra would begin from 2.30 pm on Sunday from Sri Maisamma Temple in Nizampet and added that the rath yatra would reach the HUDA truck parking area behind metro shopping mall via Kukatpally JNTU, Vivekananda Statue Main Road and BJP office.
He was speaking at a press conference at the NSS in Hyderabad on Friday. Stating that thousands of devotees will attend the Sri Jagannath Yatra, he said that a team of around 500 youths would work to coordinate the traffic during the yatra. Anjani Kumar Agarwal, Manish Aggarwal and Purushottam Agarwal have been officially appointed as the official organisers of the Jagannath Rath Yatra committee. A 12-member team from the US, South Africa, Russia and Ukraine will be present during the rath yatra. Sri Jagannatha Rath Yatra festival will continue in a spiritual manner in a pleasant festive atmosphere amidst melodious hymns and various musical instruments. The traditional Kolatam dance will be performed by various troupes during the Yatra and special mementos will be presented to the members. During this rath yatra, prasadam will be distributed to thousands of devotees along the way.
Dasa said that In this rath yatra, the participants will offer aarti and pull the chariot of god. Similarly, chappanfog, kirtan, mahaarati and dance programme will be held at 5.30 pm at Classic Gardens in Secunderabad on the 9th of this month. Representatives of ISKCON Anjani Kumar Agarwal, Purushottam Agarwal, Oksana, Devarupa Devidas, Anjani Devi, Chandana, Giri Govardhan Das, Haridev, Ratnalekha, Amrita Gopal Das and others were present on the occasion.
