Hyderabad, July 20 (NSS): BJP State president & Union Minister of Coal & Mines G Kishan Reddy today participated in the Unemployment Maha Dharna held by BJYM at Indira Park Dharna Chowk in the city in support of the unemployed.
Speaking on the occasion, he demanded that the State government immediately fulfil the legitimate demands of the unemployed youth and fulfil the promises made to the unemployed. He asks that the youth of Telangana had made many sacrifices in the achievement of Telangana State. “About 1500 children of Telangana have sacrificed their lives for the formation of the State. From Gully to Delhi, the BJP fought continuously and played a key role in achieving Telangana. At Osmania University, the police fired guns and used lathis. Our party leader Sushma Swaraj spoke about the aspirations and heartbeats of the students in Parliament. She toured Telangana and said the BJP would stand by the students in their struggle. The BJP played a key role in the achievement of Telangana,” he said.
He alleged that former chief minister KCR and the BRS party, which came to power in Telangana State, had cheated the youth of Telangana by not issuing notifications to fill up job vacancies. “We condemn the autocratic attitude of the Congress government towards BJYM activists and the unemployed. Before the elections, the Congress party made various promises to the unemployed in the name of youth declaration and cheated them after coming to power. None of the promises were implemented within 100 days of coming into power by the Congress party.
“We condemn chief minister Revanth Reddy’s derogatory remarks against Osmania University students and the unemployed people,” he added.
He asked the State government to fill up two lakh jobs. He asked the State government as to what happened to its job calendar. “The previous BRS government did not implement the promise of unemployment allowance. Even the Revanth government is not implementing it today. What happened to the promise of ₹5 lakh educational grant to the students of the State ,” he asked.
He alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was not going to Praja Bhavan and added that Applications from people were not being taken now. He claimed that in a short span of time, the Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka and the Revanth Reddy government in Telangana had witnessed public opposition. He alleged that the Congress is spreading false propaganda by stating that the BJP would change the constitution.
“The guarantees given by the Congress party will turn into a mess. The people will give a befitting reply to the Congress government in the same way like former CM KCR. During the Congress rule, the lives of the people had changed from the pan to the oven. The pink flag is gone. The hand sign flag came. KCR’s loot has gone. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy are robbing the State now,” he alleged.
He also alleged that In Telangana, after the collapse of the KCR government and the formation of the Congress government, only the party’s ministers and the high command was benefited.
Reddy said the BJP would stand by the students, unemployed, farmers and women, who have been cheated in the Congress government and added that the BJP would fight to put pressure on the Congress party to fulfil the promises made by it
