Hyderabad, July 21 (INN): Former MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar has called upon the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre to grant national status to irrigation projects and prioritise the allocation of funds for the development of backward districts.
Vinod Kumar also demanded the establishment of a railway coach factory in Kazipet and a steel plant in Bayyaram. Additionally, he urged the central government to sanction Navodaya Vidyalayas for every district.
Criticising the Modi government’s reliance on allies, Vinod Kumar accused the government of neglecting the promises outlined in the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganization Act over the past decade. He pointed out that the Modi government now depends on the Telugu Desam Party and highlighted recent reports in the media about clearances being granted for a Rs. 1,000 crore petrochemical project on the Andhra Pradesh coast. He also mentioned that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be securing some funding allocations.
Highlighting the victory of eight BJP MPs, eight Congress MPs, and one AIMIM MP from Telangana, the BRS leader urged these elected representatives to secure funds for the state’s development. He emphasised the achievements of BRS MPs in raising pertinent issues in Parliament and securing benefits for the state during their tenure. He criticised the newly elected BJP and Congress MPs for failing to submit any memorandums to the central government in the past 15 days, despite the Parliament budget session being just a day away.
Vinod Kumar urged Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, and MPs Etela Rajender and DK Aruna, to exert pressure on the central government and secure the necessary projects for Telangana.
