Hyderabad, July 23 (NSS): The Telangana Assembly on Tuesday condoled the death of Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Lasya Nanditha, who died in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road, Patancheru on February 23.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Ministers and opposition leaders remembered Lasya Nanditha and former Cantonment MLA Sayanna’s family.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy moved a condolence motion in memory of Lasya Nanditha in the Assembly.
The Chief Minister said that Sayanna was born in a very ordinary family and reached to the height in his political career.
Sayanna had rendered service to the people as an MLA and passed away in the public life. The people elected Lasya Nanditha as the Cantonment MLA as Sayanna’s successor. But, it was unfortunate that Lasya died in road accident, Revanth Reddy said.
He further recalled that Sayanna was soft-spoken and maintained friendly relations with everyone irrespective of their political affiliation.
“Sayanna had fought for the merger of Secunderabad cantonment area with GHMC. Unfortunately, he was not among us when the GHMC and Contonment merged. Lasya would also have been happy if she was alive. Sayanna and Lasya were no longer with us, but they will remain in our hearts forever,” the Chief Minister said.
He stated that the State government will take forward the ambitions of Sayanna and Lasya and fulfill their aspirations in the days to come.
Later, Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar adjourned the House till Wednesday.
