Hyderabad, July 24 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the previous BRS government was responsible for the present economic crisis in the Telangana.
Taking part in the debate on the injustice done to Telangana in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said the BRS government had destroyed all the sectors and kept pending all bills in every department before the party lost power in the Assembly election.
“The people tought a fitting lesson to the BRS party and gave their verdict in the Assembly elections after witnessing the BRS failures,” he said.
Revanth Reddy reminded that during the last ten years, the BRS had supported the BJP government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in every decision which included the Triple Talaq bill , elections for President and Vice-President, demonization and the farm laws. But, the BRS government had not made any effort to bring funds from the Centre to Telangana, he pointed out.
Recalling the statement of former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao who said that he does not require any funds from the Centre, but Narendra Modi’s affection is enough, Revanth Reddy said that the BRS party staged a walk out in the Lok Sabha when the opposition moved a no confidence motion against Narendra Modi’s government in 2018 and BRS Rajya Sabha Member Santosh flew on a special flight and participated in voting in support of the RTI Amendment Act in 2019.
He further stated that his government does not need to collude with industrialists Adani and Ambanis and the Assembly is not a platform to spread rumours.
“Let KCR come forward and I am also ready to stage a fast unto death dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding the justice for Telangana. Let us decide whether Telangana gets Central funds or not by launching a stir. The BRS party should finalise date and schedule to sit on dharna at Jantar Mantar,” Revanth Reddy said.
