Hyderabad, July 25 (NSS): BRS party working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao has once again shown his good heart. He assured the family of an underprivileged student Deepthi, who secured a seat at IIT Guwahati, that he would bear all the expenses of her studies. Deepthi is the daughter of Somireddy Padma and Chandram, a poor couple from Gudem village of Mustabad mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district.
Recently, she got a seat in data science and artificial intelligence course at IIT Guwahati. But the family did not have the financial means to send Deepthi in a prestigious institution like IIT. Deepti’s family members tried to get financial help from donors. The matter has come to the notice of KTR. He stood by the family. Deepti, said it was a great thing to get a seat in a prestigious institution like IIT.
KTR promised financial assistance to Deepthi’s family, who came to Hyderabad to meet KTR on the occasion of his birthday. He said he would bear the entire cost required to complete the four-year course. Deepthi and her parents thanked KTR for this. On the occasion of KTR’s birthday, Deepthi was also presented with a laptop as part of the ‘Gift a Smile’ programme. On the occasion, KTR urged Deepthi to complete her studies and reach a higher level.
