Hyderabad, July 28 (NSS): Union Minister G Kishan Reddy today visited Mahankali temple in Amberpet as part of bonalu celebrations along with his wife and performed special prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, he said Bonalu festival was a great celebration that takes place in the remote areas and villages of Telangana, including the State capital. People pray for prevention of natural calamities and poisonous fevers besides praying for good rains and rich crops. It is especially a festival of women, he said.
