Hyderabad, July 28 (NSS): Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar today said they would turn old city based Bhagya Laxmi temple into a golden temple after coming into power in the State.
He made these remarks while speaking to media persons after performing prayers at the Bhagya Laxmi temple. Speaking on the occasion, he said it was strange that the State government, which allocated ₹.33 crore for Ramzan celebrations in its budget, allocated merely ₹5 lakh for the celebrations of bonalu festival. He promised that the BJP-led State government would hold the bonalu festival in every street of the State after coming into power. He said he was happy to visit the Bhagya Laxmi temple on the occasion of the bonalu festival.
Targeting MIM party leaders, he said the Majlis leaders were like a lizard on a wall and added that they would sail with any party, which is in power in Telangana. “The MIM leaders supported the BRS party in the past and they are now supporting the Congress party leaders. They do this to do their businesses.
Referring to the comments of CM Revanth Reddy that he would ensure the victory of MIM party floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi if the latter contested from his Kodangal assembly constituency, Sanjay made it clear that Kodangal was not the kingdom of any leader and added that they would ensure that MIM leader lost his deposits if he contested from the Kodangal seat.
Later , Sanjay performed prayers at different temples of the old city and participated in PM Narendra Modi’s Man Ki Baat program at Gowlipura.
