Hyderabad, July 30 (NSS): Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday said the responsibility of TGSRTC workers would be taken by the State government. He said it was the Congress party that started Navodaya and Gurukulams in the 70s and added that many of those who studied there had become high officials today.
He spoke passionately in the assembly and asked about the RTC tenders held during BRS party’s regime. He said the RTC, which has become vital, was being gradually developed by their government today. “BRS party which said ‘RTC payya nahi chalega’ (RTC wheel will not run) is now shedding crocodile tears on the RTC today,” he mocked.
Ponnam said all the RTC workers were Telangana activists and added that it was the government’s responsibility to protect them. He advised the Opposition leaders to give valuable suggestions and advice the State government on the law and order situation in State capital.
