Hyderabad, July 31 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Wednesday came down heavily on former minister and BRS MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy, saying that she had killed democracy by changing the party.
During the discussion in the Assembly on Wednesday, Bhatti Vikramark said that Sabitha Indra Reddy had defamed the entire democracy by quitting the Congress and joining the BRS party and asked her what face she was talking in the Assembly.
“Sabitha Indra Reddy was admitted to the Congress party before 2004 Assembly elections and given ticket as an MLA. Later, when the Congress party came to power, she was given the post of minister. In 2009 Assembly elections, she was given a ticket again and honoured as a minister with a good portfolio. Sabitha held the most important ministerial posts for a decade. Even in 2014, the Congress party gave her a ticket. Fortunately or unfortunately, the Congress party lost power in 2014. At that time, the All India Congress Committee ( AICC) with a big heart decided me as the Leader of the Opposition. But, Sabitha quit the Congress and joined the BRS, resulting in the cause of the loss of my opposition status,” Bhatti Vikramarka pointed out.
He reminded that no party in the history of Telangana State had made a Dalit as the Leader of the Opposition ( LOP), but Sabitha, who had served as a minister for a decade, switched the party for power, causing the loss of LOP.
“Sabitha has joined the BRS party for her selfishness. Today, she is worried about humiliation. It doesn’t any make sense,” Bhatti Vikramarka added.
