Administration not started yet in State fully: Jagadish Reddy

Suryapet, Aug.10 (NSS): Former minister Jagadish Reddy has lashed out at the Congress government. He alleged that the  administration in the State had not started fully. “The leaders of the ruling party do not seem to have any understanding and responsibility towards running the government. It appears that the development of the State has been forgotten by confining itself to entertainment,” he said.

He also said it was strange that a cabinet sub-committee was set up on water storage in projects. “The protocol of the projects must have been decided earlier and there is no sub-committee for such work anywhere in the world,” he said.

Speaking to the media in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy said the decision of the sub-committee to decide on the eligibility of ration cards was an unintended decision. He criticized the Congress for showing a “deceitfulness” to escape. He alleged that the efforts were being made to divert the attention of the people. He demanded that water should be lifted from Kaleswaram project and added that water should be supplied to Suryapet for irrigation.

He alleged that the government was not bothered about the possibility of storing about 140 TMC of water. He was angry with the rulers for not lifting the water without the minimum awareness. “Why is there no water coming to SRSP Phase-II? Telangana is not getting the benefits of lifeline  Kaleswaram project. Lakhs of cusecs of water is being released to the sea. There is no point in rushing after the floods,” he said, adding that the government should be held responsible for the drying up of an acre of agricultural land in Telangana. Alleging that the government is being negligent towards the farmers, he urged it to stop taking out excursions in helicopters and go on project tours. He said the government’s ill-conceived decision with GO 33 would  cause loss to the students of Telangana. He said the State government was also reluctant to fight a legal battle against the GO.
