Vijayawada, Aug.10 (NSS): YSRCP MLC Duvvada Srinivas has made sensational allegations against his wife Vani.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, he alleged that despite making many sacrifices for the family, Vani spewed venom against him 24 hours a day. He alleged that he was harassed for political motives. He said his life had been messed up and added that he decided to divorce her. He alleged that minister Atchannaidu was behind his wife’s cruelty against him. He said Atcha Naidu would be held responsible if anything happened to his life.
He alleged that Vani had threatened to die if she was not given an MLA ticket. “I went through hell with my wife. It is my family that is questioning me. I gave up my 25-year-old struggle and went down 100 steps and announced the ticket to my wife. However, I worked for the party as the high command asked me to contest. But it was my wife who worked against me in the elections. She joined hands with TDP to defeat me. I took good care of my wife, but she harassed me a lot with political ambition. Even my mother was not allowed to come at home. I put the money in the business in Vani’s hands. She did all this with the arrogance of wanting everything for herself. I have no intention of meeting with Vani. The responsibility of the children is mine. I will write all the assets to my wife,” said Duvvada Srinivas.
Tension prevailed at the residence of Duvvada Srinivas late on Friday night. Duvvada Srinivas’s wife and Tekkali ZPTC Duvvada Vani, along with her elder daughter Hinduvi, went to Duvvada Srinivas’s house near Akkavaram at around 11 pm. An attempt was made to forcibly open the gates of the house. As the gates did not open, the doors of the camp office were cut with cutters. On receiving the information, the police rushed to Duvvada’s residence and made arrangements to avoid any tense situation.
Duvvada Srinivas came to know that his wife and daughter had come to his house in the middle of the night. He came to the residence with his brother and followers. As soon as Duvvada Srinivas entered the house, he got angry with his wife. A heated argument took place between Duvvada and his wife. Duvvada Srinivas, who was very angry, tried to attack his wife. The police who had already reached their blocked Duvvada’s attempts and stood in defense of Vani.
