
Hyderabad, Aug.19 (NSS): Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has announced that the State government is going to bring a new Revenue Act – 2024 which will be a role model for the country, ensuring that farmers will not face any problems related to the land in future.
Participating in a discussion on the draft policy of the new Revenue Act organised by Telangana Revenue Employees Services Association (TRESA) at Tourism Plaza here on Monday, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the problems and sufferings faced by the people due to the Dharani Portal introduced by the previous BRS government would soon come to an end and the proposed new Revenue Act would remove all land disputes for farmers.
“The State government’s goal is to make farmers live happily in the Indira Rajyam.
If laws were not made properly, the consequences would be like the 2020 Revenue Act brought in by the previous government. To avoid such problems, the State government is trying to resolve the existing issues and making a law that will not cause any problems for future generations,” Ponguleti said.
He further stated that the State government is taking opinions from all sections of the people for preparing the draft report and it is also conducting discussions at various forums in the State.
The Minister further assured that the State government would deal positively in solving the problems of revenue employees and a meeting would be arranged with the revenue unions soon.
