Hyderabad, Aug.22 (NSS): The Telangana Congress leaders, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy staged a protest at the office of Enforcement Directorate here on Thursday, demanding JPC inquiry over Hindenburg-Adani-SEBI row.
Before staging the dharna, the protest rally was organised by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) from Gun Park to the ED office.
Chief Minister and TPCC president Revanth Reddy, AICC Telangana in-charge Deepa Das Munshi, State Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and party leaders in large numbers participated in the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had fled without answering the Adani Scam in the Parliament.
“India’s total debt burden till 2014 was only Rs 55,000 crore. During Narendra Modi rule, the country’s debt burden increased to Rs 1.15 lakh crore in just 11 years. Modi alone doubled India’s debt burden as against 16 Prime Ministers who ruled the country,” he pointed out.
The Chief Minister stated that former prime minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was highly regarded for constructing irrigation projects in the country and another former prime minister Indira Gandhi was brain behind nationalisation of the banks and made bank services accessible to the poor, adding that she also took the bold decision of distributing lands to the poor.
He further stated that former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi introduced technological revolution in the country and also provided reservation for women in local bodies, but the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are like ” Hum do, Hamare do, “. The two BJP leaders approach seems defrauding the world and evil forcing are robbing the country, Revanth Reddy criticised.
“Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch should resign immediately or the Centre should shunt her out. At the same time, the ED should investigate the scam,” the Chief Minister said.
“BJP has become a big threat to the country. It is the responsibility of every Congress worker to eliminate the menace.
Why are BRS leaders not questioning BJP on the scam? We are least bothered if the BRS merged with BJP. Why is former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao not questioning BJP and his son KT Rama Rao not posting messages about this robbery on Twitter? It is enough to prove that that BRS has been supporting the BJP which is looting the country’s wealth. The BRS leadership should clarify its policy on JPC,” he pointed out.
Alleging that BRS leaders are making hue and cry on the installation of Rajiv Gandhi statue at Secretariat, the Chief Minister made it clear that no forces would remove the statue. “If anyone touches Rajiv Gandhi statue, they will end up by receiving bruises on their back,” he cautioned.
Revanth Reddy criticised that BRS leaders were spreading false propaganda on farmer loan waiver and farmers should not get carried away by the canards spread by the BRS.
The Chief Minister also found fault with BRS MLA Harish Rao for playing dramas without resigning from his MLA post and said that the BRS would not win even 9 out of 39 seats it has won in the recently held Assembly elections.
