
Hyderabad, Aug.22 (NSS): Hundreds of animal rights activists marched from Sanjeevaiah Park to People’s Plaza demanding freedom for all animals. The march organized by Vegan India Movement and Vegans of Telangana, urged the public to stop exploiting animals, see them as individuals, and stop consuming animal products.
Addressing media persons at NSS on Thursday, Pravlika, Citizen for Animals and High Court Advocate said Director Sasi Kiran Tikka is the chief guest. Some three hundred animal lovers are participating in the program. She said activists held placards with powerful messages such as diary destroys motherhood and “Meet is Murder”. They chanted slogans like “Animals deserve freedom just like us”, highlighting the need for recognize animals as individuals with rights.
Suraj Founder of Vegans of Telangana said “Billions of land animals and trillions of sea animals are killed each year by human beings. The animal liberation march is our way of standing up for them demanding that their cries for mercy be heard. By choosing veganism, we are choosing to listen, to act with compassion, and to end speciesism.
Ishant, Founder of SINSME Foundation, said caring about animals and speaking out against animal cruelty is a collective responsibility that belongs to each and every one us. It is our duty to protect and advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, and to work towards creating a world there all beings are treated with compassion, kindness, and respect, he said.
