CP pays floral tributes to Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy

Hyderabad, Aug.22 (NSS): On the occasion of the 155th birth anniversary celebrations of Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy, Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy Educational Society at Y.M.C.A. crossroads at Narayanaguda, City police commissioner Kottakota Srinivasa Reddy paid floral tributes to the statue of Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy today.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasa Reddy praised the exceptional services rendered by Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy, who served as the 14th police commissioner during the Nizam era. He recalled that Venkat Rami Reddy took charge as Kotwal in 1920 and during his 14 years of service, tirelessly worked to eradicate many social evils prevalent at that time while managing both civil and policing duties and added that he established educational institutions for the welfare of girls.

Srinivasa Reddy congratulated the Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy Educational Society for its services and presented gold medals and cash awards of ₹5000 each to Dilip Kumar, who is the Detective Inspector of Meer Chowk police station and S. Rajasekhar Reddy, who is the Traffic Inspector of Cyberabad, for their outstanding performance in recent times on behalf of the Raja Bahadur Venkataram Reddy Educational Society.

The event was attended by DCP East Division B. Balaswamy, Teegala Mohan Reddy, Secretary, M.V. Ranga Reddy, President, A. Sukanyareddy, Vice President, Vasu Devareddy, Joint Secretary, G. Krishnareddy, Treasurer of the Raja Bahadur Educational Society.
