Hyderabad, Aug.25 (NSS): The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRA) has submitted it’s report to the State government, stating that the demolition drive has been carried out at 18 locations and it has recovered an extent of 43.94 acres of land from encroachers.
The demolition drive was carried out in areas such as Mansoorabad, Banjara Hills, BJR Nagar, Gajularamaram, and Ameerpet and the encroached land was recovered from the clutches of notable persons like former union minister Pallam Raju, film actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, BRS leader Ratnakar Raju from Chintal, Kaveri Seeds owner Bhaskar Rao and Pro Kabaddi team owner Anupama. Additionally, the illegal structures in those areas were also demolished.
The State government perceives that the public has widely appreciated the HYDRA’s efforts to remove illegal constructions in Hyderabad. Consequently, it is considering implementing similar systems in other towns across the Telangana State.
Officials have stated that measures will be taken to remove encroachments wherever possible and to prevent future illegal occupations.
