Hyderabad, Sept.1 (NSS): GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata today asked the people not to come out in view of the incessant rains. She said that In the wake of the announcement of a red alert by the Meteorological Department across Greater Hyderabad, she said that people should stay at home and go out only if necessary. She also said that Children and the elderly should not go out alone under any circumstances and should not walk on the roads. .
She said that the GHMC officials were on alert for the safety of the people of the city and are taking all necessary measures.
People were asked not to open manholes and inform GHMC control room if they are open by her. The commissioner asked the officials to be vigilant in the wake of rains and contact helpline 040- 21111111 or 9000113667(DRF) for emergency assistance.
