
Hyderabad, Sept.1 (NSS): Former minister Harish Rao today suggested that the state government should respond and form teams to provide emergency services everywhere. He asked the state government to take the help of the army if needed. Special helicopters should be brought in, he said.
At least 14 students of Kondabhimanapalli BC Gurukula School in Devarakonda constituency of Nalgonda district were injured after rats bit the students who were sleeping at night. Harish Rao along with former ministers Gangula Kamalakar and Jagadish Reddy responded on the issue on Sunday morning. He spoke to the students and found out their problems. Harish Rao spoke to the media on the occasion.
He said that the irrigation authorities should take special measures to ensure that the tanks and canals were not cut off. BRS rank and file has been instructed to provide relief measures to the victims in distress by him . Stating that there will be heavy rains for the next two days, he appealed to the people to remain vigilant. He urged the government to cancel the holidays of the officials and take steps to ensure that they remain vigilant 24 hours a day. People have been advised not to go near ponds and canals in dangerously flowing floods by him . He asked the police to set up special barricades and protect the people safely.
