Hyderabad, Sept.9 (NSS): Dr Sravan Dasoju, senior leader of BRS, expressed his gratitude to the High Court of Telangana for delivering a landmark judgment, directing the Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad, to take prompt action on the disqualification petitions filed against Danam Nagender, Kadiyam Srihari, and Tellam Venkat Rao.
Sravan Dasoju stated, “This significant ruling is a befitting tribute to Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi, the visionary leader who championed the Anti-Defection Law to preserve the integrity of our representative democracy.” He further added, “It is the responsibility of the Indian National Congress to ensure that Revanth Reddy, Leader of the Congress Party in Telangana, respects the judicial process and refrains from actions that could undermine the legacy of Rajiv Gandhi, who played a pivotal role in strengthening our democratic institutions through the Anti-Defection Law.”
Dasoju reiterated that “Upholding constitutional values, democracy, and the sanctity of the electoral process and respecting the voters’ mandate is crucial at this juncture.” He also emphasized, “In light of this historic judgment, it is morally imperative for the defected MLAs to voluntarily tender their resignations before the Speaker renders his decision. This court directive reinforces the commitment to transparency and adherence to democratic norms.”
