Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): Former MP and Congress senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao has warned the police of staging the protest over the inaction on the complaint against actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, V Hanumantha Rao stated that he had lodged a complaint with the police at Amberpet Police Station in Hyderabad against Kangana Ranaut, following her derogatory remarks against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
He questioned the police’s delayed response and warned that if no action is taken, Congress workers would stage a protest (dharna) outside the police station.
He emphasized the importance of treating all citizens equally, regardless of their political affiliations.
“Is there one rule for BJP leader Amit Shah and another for Rahul Gandhi? Rahul has been insulted and action must be taken against Kangana Ranaut. A case should be registered against her immediately,” VH demanded.
