Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): BRS party working president K Tarakarama Rao today alleged that their party MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was kept under house arrest and attacked by the police.
Speaking to media persons after meeting Padi Kaushik Reddy at the latter’s residence, he said the Revanth Reddy government was continuing like a life journey of an incompetent person for the last nine-and-a-half months. He alleged that Revanth Reddy had cheated all sections of the society by saying that six guarantees would be implemented within 100 days after coming to power.
KTR criticized that the Chief Minister himself had gone to the BRS party MLAs’ houses and covered them with scarves to welcome them into his party. “From Congress ministers to MLAs, they are talking that 10 BRS party MLAs are gone and will still come. After the High Court verdict, there was panic in the Congress party,” he claimed. He said he met the Speaker on the defections of their party MLAs and urged him to take swift action against them. He said Kaushik Reddy had filed a disqualification petition against the rebel MLAs like Danam Nagender, Tellam Venkatrao and Kadiyam Srihari and added that on behalf of the BRS party, they were thanking the High Court Judge, who delivered the judgment.
He said Kaushik Reddy’s house was attacked with the help of the police. “This kind of goondaism never existed in 10 years of our party’s rule,” he said and alleged that the attacks were carried out in such a way that it resembled faction films. KTR demanded that the MLAs who switched parties should at least tell which party they are in? KTR criticized that such high dramas were being made when asked to implement guarantees. “Revanth is doing all this for the sake of demonic happiness. But all this will be wrapped back to Revanth,” he said making it clear that power is not permanent for anyone.
He demanded that the DGP should suspend the policemen who failed to perform their duties when the attack took place. He made it clear that such incidents would not have happened if Gandhi had been arrested by the police and kept under house arrest. KTR said peace and security in Hyderabad had been excellently maintained in the last ten years of their party’s rule. He made it clear that all the people in Hyderabad were their own. He said there were no attacks on regionalism in the past. He said the people of Hyderabad stood by the BRS party.
