Congress slams KTR’s silence on misconduct of Kaushik

Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): Government Whip Aadi Srinivas on Saturday launched a scathing attack on BRS working president KT Rama Rao for maintaining  silence over MLA Kaushik Reddy’s misconduct against fellow MLA Arekapudi Gandhi and derogatory remarks against women.

Speaking to reporters at the media conference hall on the premises of Assembly here on Saturday, Aadi Srinivas along with Congress MLAs Bhupathi Reddy and Medipally Sathyam questioned KTR’s motive behind visiting Kaushik Reddy, who had earlier made offensive remarks towards women.

“With what face did you go to Kaushik Reddy’s house, KTR? Did you go to congratulate him for demeaning women? Did you embrace him for insulting daughters by promising to send them sarees and bangles,” he questioned.

Aadi Srinivas further accused Kaushik Reddy of behaving like a mad elephant, attacking people indiscriminately without distinction between young or old.

Finding fault with Kaushik’s remarks for insulting settlers from Andhra Pradesh and threatening police officers, the Congress  MLA demanded that KTR should apologise for endorsing such behavior.

In a similar vein, Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam lambasted KTR’s priorities.

“KTR spent 10 days in America and now returns with a lot of noise. While people in Khammam, Suryapet, and Mahbubabad are suffering due to floods, he doesn’t speak a word for them.” Satyam alleged.

He accused KTR and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of indifference towards the state’s losses, stating that their sole focus is tarnishing the reputation of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Nizamabad Rural MLA Bhupathi Reddy also took dig at KTR, comparing BRS leaders to opportunistic chameleons.
