Hyderabad, Sept.18 (NSS): GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata today thanked all those who helped the corporation in the successful conduct of the just-concluded Ganesh idols immersion program. She said the city was peaceful without any untoward incident during the Ganesh immersion program. She said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and district in-charge minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Ranga Reddy district in-charge minister D. Sridhar Babu conducted preparatory and coordination meetings with representatives and officials of the Ganesh Utsav Committee chaired by the Mayor at GHMC and made elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of the Ganesh Navratri festivities.
“The immersion process as part of Ganesh Navratri celebrations in coordination with city police, HMDA, water works, electricity and traffic police has successfully concluded in a peaceful atmosphere. At the field level, deputy commissioners, officials of UBD, UCD, police and electricity departments identified the problems faced during the Shobha Yatra in advance and repaired roads, removed the branches of trees and installed electric lights. The representatives of the governing body have made arrangements with suggestions and the people have extended full cooperation for Ganesh Navratri celebrations and immersion,” she said.
