Hyderabad, Sept.19 (NSS):Former minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao today criticized the Congress government for not implementing its promises. Harish posted a post on his official X-account criticising the ruling party for doing injustice to farmers. “The Congress government was shaken when all the farmers came together and called for ‘Chalo Praja Bhavan’ because of the anguish that their crop loans had not been waived off. Across the State, the farmers and leaders of farmers’ organisations are being detained in police stations everywhere to take revenge on them,” he alleged.
Rao said the arrests of the farmers who are fighting for the loan waiver was a vicious act. “On behalf of the BRS party, we strongly condemn this. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of the arrested farmers. Ours is a government without restrictions, a government without fences, a government without people’s rule. Why are there so many barricades around the Praja Bhavan? Why so many restrictions? Why is the CM so afraid that farmers are flocking to Praja Bhavan,” he asked.
“You promised to waive off Rs 2 lakh loan for all the farmers, but you went wrong. Now it’s going to be the gallows for you and your government. Until the loan waiver is over, the BRS party will not spare you, nor will the Telangana farmers leave you. The farmer’s crying in your kingdom,” Harish said.
