
Hyderabad, Sept.21 (NSS): In the context of converting ITIs into Advanced Technology Centers in the State, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has advised the officials to ensure that there should be no shortage of staff.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials of Labour and Employment department at the Secretariat here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the syllabus should be upgraded according to the current industry requirements.
Officials were also directed to appoint a committee for the change of syllabus and take expert advice and suggestions.
“If necessary, the cooperation of Skill University should be taken. Officials should also consider the proposal of setting up new ATCs in polytechnic colleges,” Revanth Reddy said.
The Chief Minister directed officials to identify Assembly constituencies without ITIs and submit a report.
He further stated that steps should be taken to have ITI/ATCs in 100 Assembly constituencies and officials should formulate procedures to bring ITI/ATC and Polytechnic colleges which provide professional skills under Skill University.
