Hyderabad, Sept.21 (NSS): CPI state secretary and the party MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao today alleged that the BJP government in power at the Centre was acting in an anarchic manner and added that it was shameful that BJP leaders were calling people to bring congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s head for making comments on the communal situation in the country. He asked the BJP to answer whose culture it was to bring the heads of people ? “The BJP, which is creating anarchy in the name of Hinduism, is indeed a Hindu Taliban organisation ,” he alleged.
Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao along with CPI state secretariat members Palla Venkata Reddy, Takkellapalli Srinivas Rao, N Balamallesh, Kalavena Shankar and M Balanarasimha spoke at a press conference organised at the CPI state office Maqdoom Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion , Sambasiva Rao said that those who are making comments that incite cheap politics and terrorism were doing a lot of wrong. He said that the CPI strongly condemned such actions as the country is constantly on fire through such comments and people are doing dirty politics to divert attention from talking about their employment and other issues. “If Rahul gandhi has done anything wrong, then action should be taken as per law . Instead of doing so, rahul gandhi is being branded as a terrorist by the BJP minister and it is highly objectionable that the BJP is considering it a right to speak anything in the name of Hinduism. No matter what the politicians say, it is not right for the BJP to act as if hinduism belongs to only them,” he said while adding that hinduism has nothing to do with political statements.
Commenting on Hydra, he said that the organisation should not create any sense of insecurity in the poor . He said that the big encroachers should be afraid of hydra but there should not be any insecurity among the poor with the hydra. He suggested that Hydra should deal with the poor in a humane manner. He said that the CPI welcomes the formation of Hydra in principle but urged hydra to be more careful in discharging its duties and demolitions.
Rao congratulated the state government for naming the Telugu University of Hyderabad after ‘Suravaram Pratap Reddy’, the Women’s University at Koti after ‘Veeranari Chakali Ailamma’ and the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology after ‘Konda Lakshman Bapuji’. He recalled that he had requested in the Assembly on behalf of the CPI to name the Telugu University after ‘Suravaram Pratap Reddy’. “The government’s work has not been completed by naming universities after fighters. The statues of Ravi Narayana Reddy and Baddam Yellareddy, two other fighters who called for the fight, should also be installed at the same place where the statue of Maqdoom tank bund . He appealed to the people of Telangana to give due respect to the armed fighters like Shoaibullah Khan, Sheikh Bandagi, Chakali Ailamma and Mallu Swarajyam.
