Hyderabad, Sept.23 (NSS): Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah has launched a scathing attack on BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao for spewing venom at the State government and enacting dramas with baseless allegations.
Speaking to the media at the Congress Legislative Party ( CLP) office here on Monday, the Government Whip said both BRS leaders-KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao were yet to change their behavior even though the people had tought a fitting lesson to their party in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
“Unable to bear the idea of people’s rule under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the BRS leaders are resorting to malicious campaign. KTR is under the delusion that he is still a minister. What qualifications did he have to appoint a committee of three BRS members to oversee Gandhi Hospital. KTR is conspiring against Gandhi Hospital, which serves the poor,” he questioned.
]Beerla Ilaiah, who represents Aleru Assembly constituency, alleged that over the past decade, the previous BRS government had crippled the State’s healthcare system and under their rule, patients in government hospitals had even died due to rat bites.
“KTR is trying to demoralise the doctors and staff at Gandhi Hospital. He is stirring up unrest in the name of forming committees, with the aim of disturbing peace and security in Telangana,” he alleged.
Beerla Ilaiah recalled the past treatment of Dalit leader Rajaiah, saying, “When Rajaiah was the Deputy Chief Minister, former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and former ministers KTR and Harish Rao couldn’t tolerate him and had removed him from the post without having a reason. Moreover, the BRS party didn’t even give him a ticket for the last Assembly elections. Now, KTR is using Rajaiah only for political gains and he doesn’t have any love and affection towards the Dalit leader.
KCR, who built farmhouses and palaces, failed to construct a new building for the Osmania Hospital during the last ten years,” he pointed out.
“The BRS government had weakened Mother and Vijaya dairies for the benefit of Harish Rao as the latter’s wife set up a dairy and supplied Milchi Milk to government hospitals and hostels without tenders, violating all norms and indulging in large scale corruption,” the Congress MLA alleged.
“Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered an investigation into these milk supply allegations. If Harish Rao is proved responsible for the downfall of Vijaya and Mother dairies, he will face the consequences of punishment,” he added.
