Hyderabad, Oct.18 (NSS): Government Whip Adluri Laxman has challenged BRS MLA Harish Rao to come for a debate on the issue of displaced farmers.
Speaking to the media at Congress Legislative Party ( CLP) media conference hall here on Friday, the Congress MLA said he was ready to discuss the issues of the displaced farmers and Harish Rao should fix the time and date for the open debate near the Ambedkar statue in Siddipet.
“If Harish Rao brings former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to discuss Mallanna Sagar, our Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also attend. If KCR announces the date and time, Revanth Reddy will be there.We are prepared for a debate in Siddipet, Gajwel, Choppadandi, Dharmapuri and anywhere in Telangana,”. he said.
The Congress MLA further alleged that the injustice done to the displaced would not go unanswered and atrocities committed by KCR and Harish Rao in the Mallanna Sagar project were numerous.
“The BRS government had filed cases against farmers and leaders for demanding compensation,” he alleged.
