
Hyderabad, Oct.19 (NSS): DGP Jitender today announced that strong security arrangements had been made for Group-1 mains exams. He stated that all measures would be taken to ensure that there were no disruptions during the exams. He said if anyone causes disturbances, actions would be taken according to the law.
Speaking to media persons today, he clarified that the exams would be conducted as per court orders and added that strict actions would be taken if protesters disrupt the public. He said if there were objections to the High Court orders, one can approach the Supreme Court. He confirmed that the investigation into the Secunderabad Muthyalamma temple incident was ongoing and added that actions would be taken to punish the accused severely. He urged everyone to maintain restraint and stated that protesting over the Secunderabad incident was inappropriate.
The DGP announced that police Martyrs’ Remembrance Day celebrations would be held in Telangana from October 21 to 31, and added that they would pay tribute to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He noted that this year, 214 police officers across the country had made the ultimate sacrifice, including one officer from Telangana.
