Hyderabad, Nov.8 (NSS): BRSV State president Gellu Srinivas Yadav today condemned Minister Ponnam Prabhakar’s statement that CM Revanth Reddy’s birthday celebrations should be held officially in all Gurukul schools.
Speaking to media persons along with State TRSV vice-president Tungabalu and Raghuram at Telangana Bhavan, Gellu Srinivas Yadav said, “Doesn’t Ponnam Prabhakar, who served as the State president of the students’ union, know the rules,” he asked. He wondered as to why should Revanth Reddy’s birthday be celebrated in gurukul schools? He said students in all gurukul schools in the State were hospitalised due to food poisoning and claimed that they were losing their lives while stating that the government has not done a single review of the gurukul schools so far. “In Adilabad district, students fell seriously ill due to food poisoning. Is killing the students studying in gurukul schools without any trace of KCR right,” he asked.
He said if the government is sincere, it should construct permanent buildings for gurukul schools. He accused the government of supplying substandard goods to gurukul schools. He said under the aegis of BRSV, the problems of all gurukul schools in the State would be inquired into and applications will be submitted to their party working president KTR and the government.
