Prohibitory order in city

Hyderabad, Nov.11 (NSS): Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City C.V. Anand, IPS, prohibited every kind of gathering of five or more persons, processions, dharnas, rallies or public meetings and prohibit any individual/groups of individuals from making any speeches, gestures or displaying pictures, any symbols, placards, flags and any type of messages of electronic form and so on which likely to cause disturbance to the public peace and order, in a distance of 500 meters around the Secretariat, in modification of the notification of October 27, 2024 and imposing 163 BNSS in the City.

However, peaceful dhamas and protests are allowed only at Indira Park Dharna Chowk, and any dharna or protest anywhere else in Hyderabad and Secunderabad is not permitted. The public are informed that any person violating the prohibitory orders in a distance of 500 meters around the Secretariat shall be liable for prosecution.

The following are exempted from the operation of this order: Police officers (including Home Guards and SPOs) on duty, Military personnel on duty, Bonafide funeral processions and other permitted processions/ religious activities/festivals, Flying Squad of Education Department, Persons or groups duly exempted by competent authority.
