Hyderabad, Nov.13 (NSS): MLC Amer Ali Khan on Wednesday donated his salary of Rs 20 lakh, for philanthropic work. The contribution is aimed at augmenting efforts to uplift marginalised communities and create a better future for the underprivileged. The move follows a previous announcement in which Khan had pledged to donate his salary for philanthropic purposes.
Khan, who was appointed as an MLC through a government order in January 2024, handed over the cheque for Rs 20 lakh to Zahid Ali Khan, Editor, Siasat Daily. The Siasat Millat Fund, under Zahid Ali Khan’s leadership, has been working dedicatedly and diligently to improve the socio-economic conditions of less privileged sections of society. Its endeavours include providing access to educational opportunities.
“Access to education and providing opportunities to those who are unable to access them continues to remain important in bringing about progress and a sense of dignity,” he added.
