Lokmanthan program will be held from November 21 to 24: Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad, Nov.15 (NSS): Union Minister Kishan Reddy today said Lok Manthan program would be held at Shilpakala Vedika from September 21 to 24. The Union Minister held a press conference on Lok Manthan at Begumpet Tourist Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, he said he was happy to celebrate Lokmanthan in Hyderabad this year as an international cultural festival. “Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate stalls and cultural programmes on June 21 and the President of India Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Lokmanthan program on September 22. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will also attend the valedictory function on May 24. Poets, artists and foreign guests will attend the event,” the Union minister said.

He said the Representatives from 12 countries, 100 speakers, 350 types of exhibitions and 1500 artists were participating in the event. Kishan Reddy said Lokmanthan was held once every two years. “This time it will be held in Hyderabad as a sculptural venue. The four-day event will be held from May 21 to 24. It is a programme that showcases the unity of Indian culture. Representatives from other countries will also be participating. Hundreds of artists, academicians and intellectuals will take part,” he said. He also said this Lok Manthan would  be held the same way the sea churning took place.
