
Hyderabad, Nov.16 (NSS): In an effort to enhance fire safety awareness and educate personnel on fire prevention and response, the Fire Services department conducted an awareness programme at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat here on Saturday.
The programme specifically targeted SPF (Special Protection Force) personnel, who recently took over the security responsibilities of the Secretariat from the Telangana Special Police.
Assistant District Fire Officer G.V. Prasad, along with Station Fire Officers Janya and A. Yadayya, led the session. They provided detailed instructions on basic firefighting techniques and demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers and fixed fire installations. The programme also included guidance on fire prevention strategies and evacuation protocols in the event of an emergency.
The officers demonstrated rescue techniques using the Bronto Sky Lift (BSL) to evacuate individuals from the terrace. Moreover, they also conducted practical demonstrations on breathing exercises and artificial respiration methods to handle emergencies effectively.
Chief Security Officer of the Secretariat, Devadas, along with SPF personnel, actively participated in the programme, making it an interactive and informative session.
