Ranchi, Nov.23 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has hailed the INDIA alliance’s victory in Jharkhand Assembly elections as a collective achievement.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister asserted that despite BJP’s attempts to form the government through questionable means, the people of Jharkhand placed their trust in the INDIA alliance and rejected BJP’s tactics.
“Even though the BJP indulged in extensive efforts and gimmicks, they failed to establish their government here. Our MLAs are committed to the party’s ideology and remain loyal to the people’s mandate,” said Bhatti.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the State’s mineral wealth must benefit the people of Jharkhand and not fall into the hands of corporate entities like Adani and Ambani.
He reiterated the alliance’s promise to uphold constitutional values and protect the rights enshrined in it.
Highlighting the leadership of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, Bhatti mentioned how they assured the people of Jharkhand about safeguarding constitutional rights.
“Our party explained to the people that the wealth and resources of the nation must be distributed equitably based on population ratios, as envisioned by the Indian Constitution,” he added.
Bhatti stated that the developmental work carried out by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress alliance over the past five years, coupled with detailed plans for the state’s future, convinced voters to grant the alliance a resounding majority.
“The BJP attempted to mislead the people with false narratives, but the electorate stood firm in supporting the INDIA alliance,” Bhatti remarked.
He criticised the BJP’s fearmongering campaign, which claimed that a victory for the INDIA alliance would lead to an influx of illegal migrants from Bangladesh.
“The responsibility to control infiltration lies with the BSF, which is under the BJP-led central government. Their failure on this front cannot be blamed on others,” Bhatti said.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured that the alliance’s focus would not just be on forming the government, but also on fulfilling promises made to the people.
