Hyderabad, Nov.23 (NSS): With the Congress government facing criticism from all quarters across the Telangana State over Lagacharla incident, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has given a clarity on the project.
He made it clear that the State government is not setting up a pharma city in Kodangal, but only an industrial corridor.
The objective of establishing the industrial corridor is to provide job opportunities to the youth and women in the Kodangal Assembly constituency, he said.
“As the MLA of Kodangal, the development of the constituency is my responsibility. Why will I trouble the people of my own constituency,” Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said.
A delegation of Left parties met Revanth Reddy and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister on the Lagacharla incident at the Secretariat here on Saturday. During the interaction with the Left parties leaders, Revanth Reddy shared his feelings over the Lagacharla incident.
The Chief Minister further clarified that only pollution-free industries will be set up and the enhancement of compensation for land acquisition will also be considered.
