Hyderabad, Nov.25 (NSS): Vomkaram Narsinga Rao, Assistant Engineer, Office of the Deputy Executive Engineer, Irrigation Sub-Division No.2, Peddapalli, Peddapalli District was caught red handed beside Saisri xerox center located opposite the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Peddapalli on Monday, when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 20,000 as bribe from the complainant for showing an official favour “to record MB pertaining to contract work which was executed by the complainant and also to forward the same along with the connected file to the Executive Engineer, Irrigation, Peddapalli through Dy. EE, Irrigaion, Peddapalli Division for sanction of payment”.
The tainted bribe amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the AO at his instance and the accused Vomkaram Narsinga Rao was arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Karimnagar.
