Hyderabad, Nov.30 (NSS): Government Whip Aadi Srinivas has launched a scathing attack on BRS working president KT Rama Rao, asking him to adopt a more restrained and respectful tone in his public statements.
In a release here on Saturday, Aadi Srinivas accused KTR of making baseless remarks against the government to shield his party workers.
“KTR must reconsider his language. During the BRS regime, they grabbed lands belonging to the poor and distributed them to the wealthy. If he continues to make reckless statements against the government, we will not remain silent. We are correcting the injustices caused by their policies,” he said.
Addressing issues related to land allocations, the Government Whip stated, “What is wrong in rectifying the injustice where lands meant for Dalits and tribal communities were given to upper-class individuals? Recently, the IAS officers’ Association responded to KTR’s comments on a district collector, but KTR has yet to address their concerns. It is his responsibility to ensure that his words do not tarnish the reputation of the Sircilla region.”
In a sharp rebuke, Aadi Srinivas warned, “If KTR uses offensive language like ‘this one’ or ‘that one,’ we will have no choice but to respond in kind.”
Srinivas also reminded KTR of the challenges his party faced in the last elections. “Have you forgotten that during the recent elections, TPCC President Revanth Reddy unseated your father from power, relegating him to his farmhouse? Criticism in a democratic setup is welcome, but if you use demeaning language, we will retaliate accordingly,” he said.
Aadi Srinivas questioned KCR’s absence from Assembly sessions. “Why doesn’t former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao attend Assembly sessions to provide suggestions and guidance as Revanth Reddy does? If your leaders have the courage to criticise, they should also have the courage to engage in constructive discussions,” he said.
