Hyderabad, Dec.7 (NSS): A tragic accident took place in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district today. Five people were killed when a car in which they were travelling lost control and plunged into a tank.
The deceased have been identified as Vamsi Goud, Dinesh, Harsha, Balu and Vinay Goud. All of them are in the age group of 22-25 years. There were six people in the car at the time of the accident. A young man named Manikanta is said to be safe. All of them belonged to Hyderabad’s Hayatnagar RTC colony. The tragic incident took place at Jalalpur in Bhoodan Pochampally mandal in the wee hours of Saturday.
The accident took place when they were on their way from Kothagudem towards Pochampally on the national highway. The locals pulled out the car that fell into the tank. It was found that five people in it had already died. Police reached the spot and inspected the accident site. It is believed that due to over-speeding and the driver’s sleep, the car lost control and fell into the tank located on the side of the road.
The bodies were recovered and sent to a local government hospital for post-mortem. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
