Hyderabad, Dec.9 (NSS): The Telangana assembly session has begun today. However, tension prevailed in the assembly premises. The BRS party MLAs and MLCs were stopped by security personnel at the assembly gate. The BRS party members raised slogans against the State government.
There was an atmosphere of tension in the area. The party MLAs KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao, along with MLAs and MLCs, arrived at the assembly by wearing T-shirts with photos of CM Revanth Reddy and industrialist Gautam Adani. They were stopped by security personnel. When KTR asked the security personnel the reason for stopping them from entering the assembly premises, they replied that they would not be allowed inside the assembly premises with the T-shirts. Tension prevailed at the assembly gate as the BRS party members tried to enter the premises.
Following this, an argument broke out between the security personnel and the BRS public representatives. They raised slogans like Revanth Aadani bhai bhai and others. They also raised slogans that the Congress mother had replaced the Batukamma and displayed her hand in the newly designed statue of the Stage government. As the protest of the BRS party leaders continued, the police arrested them and whisked them away.
Earlier, tributes were paid to the Telangana martyrs at Gunpark and Silence was observed for two minutes. Speaking on the occasion, former minister Harish Rao expressed his displeasure over the arrests being made by preventing the Opposition leaders from entering the assembly.
“We strongly condemn the arrests of the BRS MLAs and MLCs. Opposition parties are protesting in various ways. Blocking them is evil. The Opposition is being prevented from entering the House as the illegal relations and dark deals of the ruling party leaders will come out. An attempt is being made to hold the House unilaterally. A dark deal with Adani has come out and they are afraid that they will be questioned,” Harish Rao claimed.
He asked the State government as to why it was stopping them from entering the assembly. KTR also expressed his displeasure over the denial of entry to them into the assembly premises by wearing the T-shirts. He made it clear that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi went to the Parliament by wearing T-shirts with Adani photo. He said they would fight against the State government against the forceful acquisition of the lands of the farmers of the State.
