Hyderabad, Nov.17 (RAHNUMA):BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao on Monday expressed deep shock over the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia that claimed the lives of Umrah pilgrims from Telangana. About 45 pilgrims were burnt alive when their bus collided with an oil tanker, resulting in a massive fire.
In a condolence message, Rao described the incident as ‘heart-wrenching’ and said the deaths of Telangana pilgrims had plunged their families and the state into profound grief. The Union Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia have initiated swift measures, including identification of the deceased, relief operations, and coordination with Saudi authorities, he noted.
Rao urged the Telangana government to enhance coordination with the Centre and expedite all necessary procedures, including the repatriation of bodies
