
Hyderabad, Nov.17 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday expressed deep shock over the horrific accident involving a bus carrying Indian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
The accident took place while the bus was moving to Madina from Mecca. Media reports said that people from Hyderabad were also among the passengers.
In a quick response, the Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP Shivadhar Reddy to find out the details of the victims in the bus accident. He also inquired about the number of people from Telangana travelling on the bus.
The officials were also ordered to contact the External Affairs Ministry and Saudi Embassy to take immediate relief measures.
On his instructions, the Chief Secretary alerted Resident Commissioner Gaurav Uppal in Delhi. The Chief Secretary directed the Resident Commissioner to collect the details of the number of victims from Telangana in the accident. A control room has also been set up in the State Secretariat.
